As for Atlanta being a 'cheap' place to live that's hardly the case. Before the city started cracking down, there were about a dozen private after-hours 'underground' gay clubs in Atlanta that attracted men from all over the world.
The scene used to be concentrated in just a few blocks of Midtown and now it is all oer the place - from East Point to Gwinnett. No, the nightlife in Atlanta isn't what it was 10-15 years ago, but there's still just as many - if not more - options because there's about 2 million more peple in the metro, and the gay scene is spread out all over. There are several threads on C-D about it. Black, white, asian, hispanic, men, women.
